This is an educational estimate, not a guaranteed quote. Actual rates depend on the insurance company, underwriting, product availability, and other factors.
The method behind this tool has not been checked yet
This figure comes from a set of published pricing benchmarks we hold, not from an insurer and not from anything you entered beyond your own details. That benchmark set has not yet been through a broader validation exercise, so treat what it shows as a rough sense of scale rather than a price. How is this estimate calculated?
Where the figure comes from, and what it is not.
- 1.We hold a set of published, non-medical life-insurance pricing benchmarks — monthly premiums by age, sex, coverage amount and policy type, for non-tobacco applicants at standard, average health.
- 2.When the age and coverage amount you choose match a benchmark we hold, that published figure is used exactly as it stands.
- 3.Values between two benchmarks are estimated by interpolating between them, so some combinations are estimated between published pricing benchmarks rather than read directly from one.
- 4.Outside the ages and amounts we hold benchmarks for, no estimate is shown. Nothing is extended past the edge of the data and nothing is moved to the nearest amount we happen to cover.
- 5.The figure is shown as a small range rather than a single number to the cent. That spread is a presentation choice about how precisely it is fair to speak — it is not a spread of prices from different insurers, not a measure of accuracy, and nothing about it is guaranteed.
- 6.Tobacco and nicotine use are not estimated at all. This benchmark set covers non-tobacco pricing, and there is no adjustment anywhere in this tool that turns one into the other.
- 7.No insurer is represented, and no insurer has seen your details or offered you anything. What you would actually pay is decided by an insurer’s own underwriting once you apply.
Assumptions
- • Non-tobacco, standard or average health. Better-than-average health can cost less; a health condition can cost considerably more.
- • Level cover with no riders. Graded or modified benefit designs, which are common at the simplified-issue end of the market, are priced differently and are not covered here.
- • Simplified or non-medical underwriting in orientation. A fully underwritten application with an exam may be offered for less.
- • One benchmark set, assembled for 2026. It does not track a particular insurer, a particular state, or today’s market.
- • The indexed universal life figure is a planned premium for a death benefit. It illustrates no cash value, no index crediting and no future policy performance.
